A million thank-you's will never be sufficient. The most sincere of thank you cards will never be able to say enough.
I don't know the perfect words to let you all know the prayers that have been answered for the NewMyer's.
• Prayers that have been said in the past few weeks of not only how to care for sweet Sadie, but to find a way for the ability to pay for sweet Sadie's care.
• Prayers that have been said by all of you that the NewMyer's might be able to have help in this time.
Not only have so many of you said those prayers, but so many of you also become the answer to those prayers.
The auction was a huge success. Over 500 people were served dinner and more came without eating. The entertainment was fun! The auction was long and wonderful and long and wonderful! So many people stayed very late into the night, not because they wanted a certain item, but because they wanted to be there.
For all of you that were there or helped in preparation to make the auction happen, you know. You know what we all felt as the cash began to flow & buckets began to fill.
Many, many of you that weren't there have helped. You pre-purchased raffle tickets, you spread the word to friends and family, you donated items, and most importantly; you hoped and prayed for Sadie and her family.
The community & extended families have uplifted this precious family for a very long time to come. They needed every bit of it & wow-OH-WOW. Thank you to everyone!
There have been many, many of us asking how much was raised and what the total was. Kim and Dave are so very humbled by all of the support. Read their personal thank you at loveforsadie.blogspot.com
As they organize their new world of medical care, juggling family, medical expense management, and a roller-coaster of emotions; the auction totals will be kept private.
Please know that the total raised, (and some still coming in), far exceeded anyone's expectations. The same occurred the night before at Rio Savage's benefit, (Rio is the other child from Sadie's elementary also at Primary Children's). The original hope of easing, (at least temporarily), both family's financial burden has been more than accomplished.
Sadie's prescription costs will be covered as she recovers and the family adjusts to their new normal.
I am so honored to have been able to witness much of your generosity; and wonder in amazement at the anonymous gifts of not just money, but love and service. I have heard so many precious stories and I am sure that there are hundreds more that we will never know.
If there are any questions, please feel free ask. Thank you once again,
-Camille

Zach Poulter is Sadie's uncle, and one of Wilson's former students. He is a saxophonist, music educator, and author currently living in Utah. Together they'll perform a variety of fun, recognizable jazz standards to welcome people to the auction.
